YOUNGER LEARNERS

Teaching younger learners is highly rewarding but can be pretty stressful to teach TEFL to kids if you're not prepared. The best thing you can do, if you don't have prior experience in this sector, is to take an add-on course to teach English to younger learners. The 4-weekers don't really have time to do more than a few hours on teaching English to young people.

There is actually a CELTA equivalent, called CELTYL - which is Certificate of English Language Teaching to Younger Learners, but this might be perceived by some schools as not really preparing you to teach adults. That's why most people tend to go for an add-on extra course.
